Saturn Retrograde

Persons with Saturn retrograde in their birth charts do not like to be known in public, they find security in their intellectuals or spirituals. They yield easily to external influences. They either appear shy, uneasy, introvert, lacking in self-assertion or attempt at times to cover this lapse with a pretext of arrogance. They feel alone, isolated, separated from their friends and are seldom understood. They are reserved.

When Saturn is retrograde in your birth chart you may have more feelings of guilt and self-doubt than would be normal.  Others usually will not know how you feel because you tend to keep your fears to yourself.  Instead, you are ultra responsible because you fear you will let others down. Often, it will indicate a situation in which the father was missing in some way or was there only to offer discipline but not encouragement.

It may leave you feeling anxious in life situations that would not be threatening to someone else.  Social situations can be especially troublesome for the Saturn retrograde person.  It is hard for a Saturn retrograde person to know when they should agree to something or to disagree.  Saturn rules boundaries and somehow their sense of boundary is distorted or not fully developed.

Saturn retrograde will often bring success later in life as it can indicate a "late bloomer.'  You work and work without success, until finally as you become older you begin to be rewarded and you can become quite successful.

A Saturn retrograde person is an old soul who knows many important life lessons learned through other lifetimes of responsibility.  Indeed, part of your job in your current lifetime may be to learn to relax and to have fun.  What a concept that would be for a Saturn retrograde person!

Mercury Retrograde

Persons with retrograde Mercury in their birth chart tend to think in terms of symbols and insights rather than facts and figures. The mind works more easily on the sub-conscious level, hence their insights into motivations are often uncanny and revealing. Such people are amazingly profound, creative, discovering possibilities which are more direct, obvious, practical. Such people talk to themselves and hum little tunes. They do not seem to hear other persons. They justify their actions with reasons they grasp after the matter is concluded. It is always worthwhile listening to persons with Mercury retrograde. What they say may not apply to the matter in hand but is ultimately correct.
